I have done ballet for 15 years. Ballet originated in Italy and it developed in France so most glossary of Ballet is in France. If we want to do ballet well, we have to practice ballet. There are simple things of ballet but these are very important.

Step 1 ; warm up and stretch
We need to get flexible body. If we get it, we can raise our legs high for example. In many case, we stretch for 15min to 30min in ballet class. There are many kinds of stretch from easy to difficult so I introduce easy stretch for you! Let’s try warm up and stretch with me!
Step 2 ; make sense of rhythm
Ballet requires a sense of rhythm.

Step 3 ; arms position
I introduce 4 basic arms position.

②En avant Both arms are positioned in front of the body.
③En haunt Both arms are positioned above.
④A la seconde Both arms to the side.
